A ginger cat was discovered on the roadside, moving around with a hop in its step like a mini kangaroo. Upon arriving at the shelter, it was evident to the staff that he was without his two front legs.
Joey Roo, the adorable ginger cat, found his way to the Humane Society in Tucson, Arizona, hoping to find a forever family. Born with a rare condition called radial dysplasia, Joey Roo was missing his front legs, but he didn’t let that slow him down. With one claw at the end of each nub, he got around just fine.
Cortney, a kind-hearted animal lover, learned about Joey Roo’s story (previously known as Bradley) and knew she had to meet him. The moment she laid eyes on him, it was a match made in heaven. Joey Roo hopped his way straight into her heart, and she took him home the very same day.
“It was an instant connection. I couldn’t resist his charm,” Cortney shared with Love Meow.
Joey Roo @joeyrooadventures shared that on his second night at home, he impressively found his way into the trash can. Even though he doesn’t have front feet, Joey can surprisingly jump high. However, his disability doesn’t hold him back at all as he is a very loving and affectionate cat.
Joey Roo, from Joey Roo Adventures, is a social butterfly who quickly befriends everyone he meets, including foster dogs and cats. According to Cortney, who spoke to Love Meow, Joey craves attention and affection, always seeking to be held and pet. Joey’s top priority is ensuring his mom’s never lonely – he’s always by her side, either curling up in her lap or keeping her company.
Joey Roo is a fearless explorer who doesn’t let his physical differences hold him back. Cortney shared that he fearlessly climbs up and down a 6-foot cat tree, proving that nothing can stand in his way.
