A tiny kitten refuses to be by itself ever again after being discovered abandoned from the day it was born.
Earlier this year, a kind-hearted fosterer named Patricia Lika from Las Vegas received a call about two helpless kittens in need of urgent care. The tiny felines had been abandoned shortly after birth and were left to fend for themselves.
The mother cat was nowhere to be found, so a compassionate individual rescued them and brought them to Patricia for assistance. Patricia knew she had to step in and help these defenseless creatures. “It was clear that we had to do something in this situation,” she told Love Meow.
One of the kittens, named Alexander, showed great strength and determination right from the beginning. He eagerly consumed his meals and provided comfort to his sibling, Liam, through cuddles. Despite their dedicated efforts to save both kittens, Liam, who was significantly smaller than his brother, unfortunately did not survive the battle.
He was discovered outdoors alongside his younger sibling by Patricia Lika. “Alexander was longing for his brother, but he was doing well. He was gaining weight and turning into a robust and healthy little boy,” Patricia shared with Love Meow. Patricia dedicated herself to feeding the kitten through a bottle at all hours and showered him with attention. He would snuggle into her neck and drift off to dreamland. Alexander formed a strong bond with his foster mother and always wanted her by his side.
He started to flourish and had plenty to communicate, Patricia Lika remarked. The young ginger cat would gaze at his foster mother with hopeful, wide eyes whenever he wanted her company. As he matured, he would seek comfort in her arms or on her lap.
“His gaze just melts my heart. I’m thrilled to see his progress and how much he has improved.”
Alexander adores snuggles and affection from Patricia. When she enters the room, he eagerly rushes over to shower her with his sweet kisses. Patricia is amazed by his constant displays of affection, noting that she has never had a foster kitten so loving and cuddly before.
He adores planting kisses on Patricia Lika whenever he sees an available lap to snuggle in. This little kitten is completely attached to his foster mom as she’s been the only constant in his life since he was born. Not only has he made friends with the dog and other foster cats, but he’s also proven that despite his small size, he has a big and confident personality.
If he sees an available lap, Alexander will make sure to claim it as his own. Patricia Lika describes him as a playful cat who is not intimidated by larger cats during their playtime. His inquisitive nature, love for adventure, and friendly demeanor make him a delightful companion to all he encounters.
The small orange kitty sticks to his owners like glue as they go about their daily activities. Patricia Lika shared, “He’s always by my side, always showering me with affection. Alexander is truly one-of-a-kind. I have no doubt he’ll find the perfect forever family who will cherish him just as much as I do.”
The seasoned lap cat, Patricia Lika, is prepared for her next adventure in life. She envisions a future where she is constantly surrounded by loved ones, both furry and human, and never experiences another moment of solitude.
“This little one thrives in the company of other animals. He is a true social butterfly and needs companionship to thrive.”
