Some people just have that “it factor”, and the same goes for animals it seems. Now, that’s not to say that each and every cat or animal is not the cutest there ever was. But what is the most heartwarming thing about a rescued cat that you may not expect? Their often found ‘odd’ appearance. In this case, it’s a wonky smile on a sweet white cat who just wants to be loved. He’s not “perfect” or from a breeder just out to make money off a purebred cat. His name is Bradley and he’s from the streets of Philadelphia, PA. And he’s simply perfect in our eyes.
From Wonky to Whoa!
It was early February 2025 on the cold streets of Pennsylvania that someone spotted a very dirty and wounded white cat. Not that you could tell his coat was white because he was covered in filth. He was wandering the streets at night, with no home to call his own. His sweet eyes hid unknown terrors and a rough history behind their pleading gaze for help. Thankfully, this battered boy knew exactly what to do and ran up to just the right person. They scooped him up off the streets and brought him inside. It seems he gave no resistance, knowing that his life was going to be easier going forward.
His rescuers posted online to see if they could find an animal rescue organization to help care for him. That’s when the Stray Cat Relief Fund stepped up. They welcomed the handsome boy into their foster program through The Scratching Post and began cleaning him up. You can see the gratefulness in his eyes.
Bradley is so beat up but such a very very sweet boy!!! He’s settled into The Scratching Post very nicely and has a ways to recover from his wounds. He was neutered yesterday and they shaved his cheeks and cleaned all of his wounds.![]()

Love Heals Bradley

By mid April, his wounds had healed and he was prepping for his next steps in his recovery process.
One Wonky Smile Changes Everything
For the 2025 Easter holiday, the rescue organization held their annual photo shoot. And oh my goodness are the cats adorable! Check out their full post and all the cute (and very brave) cats.
But wouldn’t you know it? Bradley stopped everyone in their scrolls when they saw his wonky smile. So much so that the organization had to reshare his origin story because so many people asked about him. And who cares that the additional attention is because of one cat. This can help bring the rescue much deserved recognition, ideally getting many cats adopted out! Not just Bradley.
But the one who gets to welcome this sweetie pie into their home better have a good camera! Because you know people are going to want to follow his happy ending story via social media. It’s exactly the kind of motivation that makes cat rescuers continue to care for all the battered and dirty felines on the streets. So let’s spread Bradley’s wonky smile across all social media; we could all use a smile.
