A lost cat was wandering around until a kind-hearted person took her in, hoping to give her and her future kittens a better life.
The cat, later named Willow, was discovered by a Good Samaritan who tried to locate her family without any luck. Despite efforts to find her owners, no one stepped forward to claim her, and it was evident that Willow was pregnant. Melissa, the founder of Tiny But Mighty Kitten Rescue, saw a plea for help and immediately offered to take her in.
“I contacted the person who found Willow and knew she needed help because of her pregnant belly,” Melissa shared with Love Meow.
When discovered outside the Tiny But Mighty Kitten Rescue, Willow the cat was overjoyed to finally have a cozy spot to cuddle up in, delicious food to munch on, and an array of toys to play with. It didn’t take long for her to settle in and make herself at home, taking ownership of every soft blanket and cushion she could find.
“Right from the start, Willow was incredibly affectionate, which made me think she must have had a family at some point,” a rescuer observed.
The Tiny But Mighty Kitten Rescue was a lifesaver for Willow, who found her way there just in time. After suffering a seizure a few weeks later, Willow received prompt veterinary care and was prescribed kitten-safe medication. Thanks to this timely intervention, Willow has been free of seizures ever since.
Mellissa, the rescuer, was overjoyed that she was able to provide help just in time. “Willow and her kittens wouldn’t have made it if she was still out there. I’m so thankful that she came into my care when she did,” Mellissa shared with Love Meow.
The Tiny But Mighty Kitten Rescue sprang into action when Willow, a cat, gave birth to two adorable kittens later than expected on August 1st. Mellissa, one of the amazing rescuers, was by Willow’s side throughout the delivery process. When it became clear that the labor was not progressing as it should, Mellissa made the quick decision to take Willow to the vet for emergency assistance.
After assessing the situation, the rescue team and veterinarians determined that a C-section was the best course of action for Willow and her kittens. It was clear that the two kittens were too large to be delivered naturally, so they needed a little help to make their grand entrance into the world.
Willow is an amazing mother to her adorable kittens at Tiny But Mighty Kitten Rescue. She excelled during the procedure, even handling her spaying like a champ. Afterward, her appetite came back in full force, and she wasted no time diving back into caring for her little ones. Willow diligently keeps her babies clean and well-fed, showering them with cuddles and purring them to sleep each night.

The little kittens at Tiny But Mighty Kitten Rescue are now two weeks old and becoming more lively and inquisitive. Willow, their caretaker, observes them with great delight as they explore their surroundings, taking tentative steps to improve their walking skills.
